- Title: Banksia media - prostrate form, Southern plains banksia, golden stalk
- Description: Usually an attractive bushy, rounded shrub to 2.5 m under cultivation, a tree to 10 m in nature. A desirable prostrate form is sometimes available and is illustrated here. Squat, cylindrical flowers are produced from autumn into spring and while generally a yellow shade and may vary to orange tones and even bear mauve tips. Easily grown in most well drained soils. Prefers full sun and will tolerate light frost to -5 ºC.
