- Title: Banksia tricuspis, Pine banksia, Lesueur banksia
- Description: A distinctive species with pine needle-like, linear leaves that are 3-toothed at their apex. Large, bright yellow flower heads are produced from autumn to early spring and dry off to a dark red shade. Unusually for banksias, the flowers of the Pine banksia open from the top downwards. An attractive shrub or small tree to 3 m or 4 m. There is also a dwarf form under development which should have excellent garden potential. Although tolerant of varying soils, well drained gravel and sand types appear most suitable. Light frost is tolerated.
