- Title: Paranomus reflexus, Van Staden’s sceptre
- Description: This species is a strong growing shrub to 2 m x 2 m and as described above it is one of the 5 species with different foliage on the flowering stems. The flower spikes are bottlebrush-like, a greenish-yellow shade (especially when immature) and may be 12 cm long. They are produced over winter on long stems, and are good cut flowers. P. reflexus is drought-tolerant once established and is easily grown in most well drained soils. Sun is required, but frosts in excess of -2 ºC may cause damage. Regular pruning or heavy picking will promote a bushy habit.
