Tibouchina organensis - pink flowered variety

Email

  • Title:  Tibouchina organensis - pink flowered variety
  • Description:  Native to Brazil, this open, bushy shrub has hairy stems and coarse feeling, deeply veined leaves with paler undersides. The large, very prominent, shallow bowl shaped flowers appear for months on end and are a spectacular feature of the bush. While purple is the usual colour, this pink flowered form is less often seen, but also very attractive,. Most average, free-draining soils are suitable and only light frosts are tolerated. Full sun or light shade. Light pruning after flowering will help prevent legginess.
