  • Title:  Leucospermum Lilian's Peach
  • Description:  Leucospermum ‘Lillian’s Peach’ (Hybrid no.226 from the University of Hawaii's protea research programme). This hybrid cultivar has an impressive number of 8 parents in the genome composition. Those with the highest percentages are L. glabrum, L. reflexum, L. lineare, L. tottum and L. formosum. The very distinctive salmon coloured flower heads are 13.5 cm (5.3 in) in width and stem length is 44 cm (17 in). Main flowering in Hawaii from February to April, and yield is recorded as ‘medium’. Vase life is up to weeks and this hybrid is an excellent cut flower proposition. Growth habit is erectly spreading.
