  • Description:  A variable grevillea species with some forms reaching 5m, although 2m is more usual. Widely distributed throughout northern regions of Australia. Prickly, oak-like foliage. Unusual pendulous flowers which are usually red, but can be white, yellow or green. The image shows them at the attractive bud stage. Requires very good drainage and sunny positions. Tolerant of occasional light frost. Photographed at Kings Park & Botanic Garden, Perth, W.A.
