  • Description:  A popular cut flower cultivar, ‘Sapphire’ has L. lineare (69%), L. glabrum and L. cordifolium in its genome composition. The rich red flower heads are tipped with silver prior to opening and may be up to 10.5 cm (4 in) wide on 50 cm (20 in) stems. The main flowering period is very extended, running from January to October in Hawaii. This is a high yield hybrid cultivar and has a vase life of 3 weeks. The growth habit is erectly spreading.
