  • Description:  Well-known by its previous name of Dryandra praemorsa, this easily grown species forms a dense shrub of up to 2 m in height. Stiff leaves up to 80 mm in length are toothed and prickly. The terminal, bright yellow flower heads to 60 mm in diameter are produced over spring and are conspicuous. There is a pink flowered form which is less commonly grown. Drier climates are preferred and light frosts are tolerated. Well drained soil is an essential.
