  • Title:  Banksia ilicifolia, Holly-leaved banksia
  • Description:  Holly-like leaves are a foil for the small, terminal flowers of cream and red which become a soft red as they age. These are produced from green buds throughout the year, but particularly over late winter to early summer. Variable in growth habit from erect to spreading and may reach 10 m in nature, but usually no more than 4 m under cultivation. This species required good drainage and full sun and tolerates heavy pruning.
