Email

  • Title:  Grevillea Honey Gem (G. pteridifolia x G. banksii)
  • Description:  A popular cultivar in warmer climates worldwide, ‘Honey Gem’ is a feature of public and private gardens due to its natural vigour and long flowering season. Reaching a maximum height of 5 m if left unchecked, it is usually pruned to keep it to a height of 2 m – 3 m with a similar width. The spectacular flower racemes are a vivid golden-orange and appeal to many nectar-seeking birds. They are produced over much of the year, but particularly during winter and spring. Frost-tender but easily grown in warmer climates provided drainage is good and a sunny position is provided.
