  • Description:  This relatively new Australian raised hybrid leucadendron is notable for its large, greenish-yellow bracts which are flushed with orange-red tones towards their base. The main colour period is over late winter and as the bracts are borne on long stems and have female cones, they have very good cut flower potential. The bushes are erect growing to around 2 m – 2.5 m and typically will benefit from pruning after flowering unless they have been heavily picked. This will keep them well-branched and bushy and will provide more flowering stems for the following season. Usually L. laureolum and its many forms require some shelter from high winds but they are frost-hardy to -5 ºC Well drained soils and sunny positions are essential.
